Women's Tennis Hits the Road for Pair of Matches

Coe Women's Tennis hits the road for a pair of matches on Sunday with Millikin University (9am) and Rose-Hulman Institue of Technology (12:30pm) in Decatur, Illinois.

On Coe:
The Kohawks are 8-8 (3-5) on the year and 4-3 during the spring portion. Coe most recently secured a road win 6-1 over NAIA Northwestern College (IA) on March 12th.
 
Millikin Breakdown:
  • The Big Blue are 6-4 overall. Millikin fell in their last time out at home against North Central College (1-8)
  • Taylor Miholland leads the Big Blue with a 6-3 record in singles play, while the duo of Katie Cooper/Nikol Obradovic are perfect on the doubles court at 6-0
  • This is believed to be the first meeting between Coe and Millikin
 
Kohawk Notables:
  • Eliza Sundermann and Mikayla Heath each lead the way with a team best 11-4 mark in singles play
  • Mikayla Heath leads the Kohawks on the doubles court with a team best 10-6 record on the year
  • Eliza Sundermann leads the current roster with 77 career wins. Sundermann currently sits in 21st on the career wins list in Coe history
 
Head Coach Mike Strydom:
Mike Strydom is in his 1st season as Head Coach of the Coe Women's Tennis program. Strydom arrived at Coe after previous stops at Wartburg College, Saddlebrook Prep School and Blackhawk Tennis Club.
