DECORAH, Iowa -- The Coe College men's tennis team fell 5-2 to Luther College on Saturday afternoon in the championship match of the American Rivers Conference Automatic Qualifier Tournament. The Kohawks battled in doubles, forcing tie breaking sets at the one and two positions. Jon Lansing/Nathan Meskell earned a narrow 8-7 (10-8) at number two doubles to send the match into singles with the Kohawks trailing 2-1. In singles, the Norse won three of the first four matches to secure the victory and the bid to the NCAA tournament.
