DULUTH, Mn. - The Coe College men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of St. Scholastica on Saturday afternoon. The Kohawks and Saints played a back-and-forth opening half, trading shot attempts early on but two late goals in the final two minutes of the period set Coe behind at the break. The Saints added a third goal just four minutes into the second half and put the contest out of reach for the Kohawks. The loss drops Coe to 0-4 overall while St. Scholastica improves to 3-2. 
 
Match Facts:

• St. Scholastica had the first five shots of the game but none were registered on target. 
• The Kohawks had a strong spell, resulting in three shots including one on target from Lucas Huitink but his shot was stopped. 
• The strong run continued as Coe earned back-to-back corner kicks which resulted in a shot attempt for Brayden Koch but it was not on frame. 
• Maxwell Twight made his first save of the game in the 42nd minute, stopping a shot from Nolan Friday to keep the game scoreless.
• The two goals came less than a minute apart for the Saints as they tallied in the 44th and 45th minute of action to take a 2-0 lead to the break. 
• The final goal of the game came early in the second half as the Saints made it 3-0 in the 50th minute. 

 
Up next: Coe is back in action tomorrow afternoon with a neutral site match against the University of Dallas at 2 p.m.
