DECORAH, Iowa - The Coe College volleyball team opened American Rivers Conference play on Tuesday evening with a 3-0 victory over Luther College. The Kohawks dominated the match from the jump, winning the opening set 25-14 before cruising to victories of 25-11 and 25-13 in the final two frames. Overall, Coe hit .386 as a team, committing just seven total errors in the match while holding Luther to a .071 attack percentage.
Kate Tidman led the squad with 17 kills in the match while also posting a team-high 10 digs, recording her fourth double-double of the season. The win snaps a two-game losing streak for the Kohawks and moves them to 5-4 and 1-0 in the A-R-C while Luther drops to 0-9 and 0-1 in league play.

- The Kohawks opened the match with a solid .25 hitting percentage, totaling nine kills in the frame while holding the Norse to .000 hitting and forcing six attacking errors.
- The dominance carried over to the second set where Coe hit .294, finishing with 13 kills to just three errors. Again, Luther struggled, hitting just .034 while committing four errors.
- The final set proved to be Coe's best of the evening, attacking at a .64 clip while committing just one error in the final frame. The 17 kills were a match-high while Luther had just seven kills and three errors.
- Five different Kohawks recorded three-plus kills on the evening with Elli Teeple, Madi Parson, Gracie Urbatsch and Grace Lueken all chipping in on offense.
Up next: Coe will return to tournament action this weekend at the Viking Classic hosted by Augustana College. The Kohawks will take on Knox College on Friday at 4 p.m. before facing Lake Forest and the host, Augustana on Saturday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
