Michaela Beckman Earns All-Tournament, Bowling Competes at Mid States Championships

WICHITA, Kan. - The Coe College bowing teams were in action last weekend, taking part in the Mid States Championships hosted by Wichita State University. The Kohawk men and women both had solid performances in the two-day tournament, placing 10th and 13th in the team standings. Coe's top individual was freshman Michaela Beckman, who continued her impressive season with a fourth-place finish and a place on the all-tournament team. Beckman averaged 204.5, less than two pins shy of the top overall finisher from Wichita State. Lauren Bodman joined Beckman in the top 15, averaging 186.83 to earn 14th place. Coe's top male finisher, Bryce Cady, had the best performance of his freshman season with a 202 average, finishing 42nd. Ian Tibbott was the other Kohawks inside the top 100, averaging 196 to place 56th.
