CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team suffered its first defeat of the Spring on Saturday, falling 8-1 to Grinnell College at the Clark Racquet Center. The Pioneers jumped ahead in the match, taking two of three contests in the doubles play.
Jania Carter-Johnson and
Madison Schultz teamed together at number two doubles, defeating Mira Manchanda and Sophia de los Reyes 8-6. Grinnell went on to win all six singles matches to secure the victory over Coe. The loss drops Coe to 8-3 on the year while Grinnell improves to 12-1 overall.
