Game Facts
  • The Kohawks grabbed an early lead in the second inning after a scoreless first, pushing two across. The inning started with a double from Reid Rausch before a bunt single by Mitchell Eckardt moved him to third. Rausch scored on the play following an error by the third basemen, starting the scoring. The final run of the inning came on a groundout by Jack Allison, driving home Eckardt to make it 2-0.
  • Coe added three runs in the top of the third, taking advantage of three hits in the inning. TJ Johnson and Reid Rausch reached on back-to-back one-out singles, putting runners on the corners. The Kohawks scored their third of the game on a double-steal play, as Rausch took second while TJ Johnson stole home. Eckardt added another run for the Kohawks with a triple in the next plate appearance before Creighton Kreshel ended the scoring in the inning with a sacrifice fly.
  • Nebraska Wesleyan responded with four runs in the bottom of the third inning, getting three hits including two doubles and one three-run homer. The hosts took the lead in the bottom of the fifth after a scoreless fourth, getting three runs on five hits.
