Men's Tennis Defeats Dubuque and Simpson, Remains Undefeated in Conference Play

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's tennis team remained undefeated in American Rivers Conference play on Monday, grabbing a pair of victories of Dubuque and Simpson. The Kohawks had split squads in action in Cedar Rapids and Indianola, earning an 8-1 win over Dubuque and a 7-2 decision against Simpson. In Cedar Rapids, the Kohawks earned two of three doubles victories against UD, grabbing an early lead. The hosts then won all six singles matches, including four in straight sets. The Kohawk quad in Indianola jumped ahead quickly with a sweep in doubles and later won four of six singles matches to grab the win. The victories move Coe to 14-7 overall and 7-0 in the A-R-C while Dubuque and Simpson drop to 4-12 and 1-11 respectively.
