Softball Claims Bremner Cup Point, Sweeps Cornell on Wednesday Afternoon

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College softball team secured a Bremner Cup point for the Kohawks on Wednesday, winning a pair of games in five innings over Cornell 10-0 and 13-5. The Kohawks took the opening game which was the Bremner Cup decider thanks to an impressive offense effort that featured multiple runs in the first three innings. Hannah Ausenhus received plenty of run support en route to her fifth win of the season as the junior surrendered just two hits in four innings. The Kohawk bats stayed hot in game two, capping off the offense-filled day with a nine-run fourth inning which clinched the sweep. The wins improve Coe to 21-11 on the season while Cornell drops to 8-23 overall.
