DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team won a pair of American Rivers Conference matches on Saturday, shutting out Dubuque 9-0 while defeating Loras 5-4. The Kohawks cruised to the morning win over the Spartans, starting with a 3-0 decision in doubles. Coe's second pairing of Claudia Bilkey and Emma Lassen led the efforts with an impressive 8-0 win. The team went on to dominate singles, getting a pair of forfeit victories at number five and number six. The Kohawks fell behind quickly in their second match of the day, dropping two of three doubles contests as the Duhawks led prior to singles. The visitors hung tough and won four of the six remaining singles matches, including a 6-1, 6-1 win at number one from Madison Schultz. The results move Coe to 4-0 on the year while Dubuque and Loras drop to 0-6 and 2-2 respectively.
