Box Score CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team continued its perfect start to the 2022 season on Tuesday, claiming a 7-2 victory over Wartburg at the Clark Racquet Center. The Kohawks and Knights battled in the opening doubles competition but the hosts grabbed an early lead with the doubles sweep. Coe's top pair of Madison Schultz and Jania Carter-Johnson had to work for the victory at number one, defeating the Knight's top pair 8-7 to claim the sweep for the Kohawks. Schultz stayed perfect in singles play for Coe and was later joined by Emma Lassen, Claudia Bilkey and Maria Bello Escobar who all earned singles wins to clinch the match. Coe improves to 7-0 overall and in A-R-C matches with the victory while Wartburg drops to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the league.
