ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Coe College bowing teams opened their 2022-23 regular seasons over the weekend, competing at Rock Valley College's Golden Eagle Invite. The Kohawk men and women were both in action with the ladies posting a fourth-place finish while the men took 16th. The Coe women were led by
Whitney Morse who finished ninth with a tournament average of 184.8 and
Katrina Kendle who had a tournament average of 177.6 and finished 16th. Freshman
Michaela Beckman bowled four of the five games for Coe and posted an average of 206, which was over 10 pins higher than the eventual first-place finisher. The Kohawk men were paced by
JP Richmond with a tournament average 189.8 as the senior finished 33rd overall. UW-Whitewater claimed the team title in the men's standings while Saint Xavier University took the top spot in the women's standings.
