LINCOLN, Neb. - The Coe College swimming and diving teams were in action on Saturday, competing against A-R-C opponent Nebraska Wesleyan in a dual meet. The Kohawk teams both had solid performances despite falling in the team duals, winning eight events throughout the meet. Luke Baldwin, Lauren Pio and Margaret Rhodes stood out for Coe, each claiming a pair of first-place finishes. Baldwin, whose two golds led the men's dual, earned the top spot in the 200 IM and the 100 Breast, posting times of 2:03.77 and 1:02.16. Pio also claimed gold medals in the 200 IM and 100 Breast, registering marks of 2:16.40 and 1:10.83 to tie for the meet-lead in golds. Rhodes had one of the best meets of her impressive freshman season, registering a personal best and top-10 mark en route to a pair of golds. She posted a personal best time in the 200 free, winning with a time of 2:03.26 while breaking into Coe's top-10 lists in the 100 Fly with a mark of 1:01.75. Zach Kolker claimed the final individual gold medal for Coe, taking home the top spot in the 100 Back. The women's 200 Free Relay team picked up one last team gold before the end of the dual as Izzy Craig, Rhodes, Valerie Gutierrez and Pio combined to post a time of 1:45.26.
