WAVERLY, Iowa - The Coe College women's cross country team ran for the final time in 2023 on Saturday, competing at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. The Kohawk women were led by senior
Crystal Burke who posted a new personal-best time of 24:28.5 in the 6K race, finishing 97th overall.
Fiona Mahler was next across the line, turning in a personal-best time as well with a mark of 25:04.1 to place 119th.
Elise Dummermuth had a strong close to her freshman season, finishing 137th overall with a time of 25:31.2.
Lily Mayo, Natalie Reifsteck, Alexis Vaughn and
Kaiya Livaudais each recorded personal-best times, joining their teammates in the season-ending performances. In addition, the team edged Cornell in the dual-meet scoring format, earning the team point in the Bremner Cup for the first time since the series began in 2012.
