DUBUQUE, Iowa - The #13 Coe College wrestling team ended its regular season on Friday evening, defeating #20 Dubuque 26-17 at the Stoltz Sports Center. The Kohawks were tested by the Spartans, battling back and forth throughout the match but Coe secured victories in the final four bouts to secure the win. The stretch featured three bonus-point wins which proved crucial for the visitors, getting falls from LJ Richardson and Kaleb Reeves and a tech fall from Tristin Westphal. 
 
UD opened the contest with back-to-back wins at 125 and 133, securing bonus points at 125 to begin strong. Alex Friddle suffered a narrow defeat in the 133 matchup, falling 5-2 to eighth-ranked Dylan Koontz. Bryce Parke and Riley Wright responded for the Kohawks in the following two bouts, earning a pair of crucial decisions to bring Coe back into the fold. The Spartans regained momentum once more with two more bonus-point decisions, claiming a major at 157 and a fall at 165 to firmly cement their lead. The visitors showed no signs of quit despite the numbers on the scoreboard, immediately answering with six teams points on the backs of a pin from LJ Richardson. Tristin Westphal then tied the match at 17, earning a dominant tech fall at 184 with an impressive 16-1 victory in the first period. Mathieu Arsenault continued the winning streak for Coe at 197, giving the Kohawks a narrow lead in the contest thanks to an 8-1 decision. Kaleb Reeves finished the dual in standard practice, earning his third-straight fall and seventh of the year to secure the victory for the Kohawks.
