BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Coe College women's track and field team was in action at the Titan Open hosted by Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday. The Kohawks earned fifth place in the team standings, securing 34 total points throughout the competition. All of the point scoring for Coe came in the field events as the Kohawks continued their solid 2022-23 form.
Hannah Pecharich made headlines for the team, earning first place in the pole vault with a new personal best of 3.20m. Pecharich, who improved on her earlier-season height of 3.05m, also moved into second place all-time in Coe's record books.
Cielo Piceno also posted a new personal best height in the pole vault and earned third place, moving up Coe's top-10 lists with a height of 3.05m.
Jaydyn Palmer and
Tracy Allen joined the pair on the podium, taking second and third respectively in the shot put and the weight throw.
Sangai Dukuly posted Coe's final point-scoring finish, earning fourth in the triple jump to round out the team total.
