CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's tennis team kept its unbeaten home record intact on Saturday, earning a pair of non-conference wins over Illinois Tech and Illinois Wesleyan. The Kohawks dominated both matches, earning an 8-1 decision in the opener against Illinois Tech before a 9-0 sweep over Illinois Wesleyan in the afternoon contest. Coe began well against the Scarlet Hawks, securing two of three doubles matches to go up early.

Grant Idoux and
Isaac Hinze have Coe the early lead, earning an 8-3 and 8-0 win respectively. The Kohawks would go on to sweep singles action, winning four matches in straight sets. The dominant effort carried over into the second match of the afternoon, sweeping Illinois Wesleyan to improve to 5-0 at home. Peterson and Burt-Smith and Idoux and Hinze earned their second doubles victories of the day while
Alex Palomar and
Conner Kryscio completed the perfect run at number three. The Kohawks cruised to the 9-0 decision in singles play, winning four more matches in straight sets. The wins move Coe to 6-1 on the season while Illinois Tech and Illinois Wesleyan drop to 0-4 and 4-4 respectively.
