CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's tennis team returned to its home courts at Clark Racquet Center for the first time since its Spring Break trip on Saturday, picking up a pair of victories over Greenville and Dubuque. The Kohawks, who defeated the Panthers 6-3, opened the day with a strong effort in doubles against Greenville, picking up two of three decisions to jump in front. The hosts finished the job in singles, getting wins from
Jordan Oaks, Graham Peterson, Alex Palomar and
Isaac Hinze. Coe completed the perfect day in its second match against A-R-C foe UD, earning a 9-0 sweep of the Spartans.
Grant Idoux/Isaac Hinze, Harry Hawbaker/Bode Carter and
Jordan Oaks/Sam Koeppl made it a perfect three wins for Coe in doubles, giving their team an early lead. Koeppl picked up the first win of his senior year at the number three doubles position, teaming with Oaks for a dominant 8-0 victory. The Kohawks completed the sweep in singles, picking up three wins in straight sets. With the wins, Coe extends its winning streak to three and improves to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in the A-R-C.
