WAVERLY, Iowa - Coe College women's track and field athletes Hannah Pecharich and Jaydyn Palmer made headlines on Saturday afternoon, setting a pair of school records at Wartburg's NCAA Indoor Championships Qualifying meet. Pecharich and Palmer, who were the school record holders in the Pole Vault and Shot Put, improved on their marks at the event. Pecharich set her original school record just 14 days ago and improved her mark to 3.31m on Saturday, over .2m higher than before. Palmer had a breakthrough in the shot put at the event, beating her previous indoor season-best by over .5m. She finished third in the event and rewrote the Coe record books with a toss of 13.47m, beating her original mark of 13.39m from 2022.
