CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's track & field team began its 2023 outdoor season on Saturday afternoon, competing at Mount Mercy's Mustang Open. The Kohawk women garnered numerous top-eight finishes en route to a fifth-place team finish, also securing a handful of podium places and one individual event victory. Hannah Pecharich continued her dominance in the pole vault, claiming the top spot with a height of 3.15m which was .75m higher than second. Jaydyn Palmer posted a new personal best and top-10 mark for the Kohawks in the hammer throw, earning second place with a chuck of 43.96m which moved her into fourth on Coe's top-10 lists. Tracy Allen joined Palmer with a point-scoring finish in the hammer, taking sixth to supplement the team score. Sangai Dukuly also posted a new top-10 mark for Coe, claiming second in the triple jump with a leap of 10.77m, also good for fourth on Coe's top-10 list. Kandice Kittinger, Alexis Perdomo, Aaminah Dishman and Morgana Goodlow rounded out the point-scoring finishes for the Kohawks, earning top-eight finishes in their respective disciplines.
