CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team picked up its second A-R-C victory of the 2023 season on Wednesday afternoon, defeating the University of Dubuque 8-1 on the road. The Kohawks jumped ahead immediately in doubles competition, sweeping the opening series of matches in dominant fashion. Jaden Fuqua and Jania Carter-Johnson combined for an 8-0 win at number three while Maria Bello Escobar and Courtney Carstensen secured an 8-2 win at number two. The final doubles win came from Maddie Schultz and Claudia Bilkey who clinched the sweep with an 8-4 decision. All six Kohawks continued their days in the singles competition, with five earning victories to finish off the team win. 
 
Up next: Coe is back in action next Tuesday, September 19 in an A-R-C match at Luther College at 4 PM.
