ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Coe College fifth-year men's cross country runner
Lewis Kleman became the first Kohawk male to earn all-region honors since 2012 on Saturday afternoon, finishing 25th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. The Cedar Rapids native earned the program's first all-conference honor since 2012 earlier this month and doubled down with his all-region performance, posting a time of 25:11.5 to place in the top 25. Overall, the Kohawk men were the most improved team from last month's interregional race, dropping an average of 51 seconds per athlete.
Jared Thoma, Trent Allen, Gad Kanago and
Philip Marerro rounded out the top-five finishers for the Kohawks, helping the team finish 20th, ahead of their pre-race ranking of 22.
