CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Kohawk Swimming & Diving freshmen Kamen Rangelov and Maxwell Deacon celebrated their first collegiate home meet in style on Friday evening, picking up a pair of individual victories in Coe's dual meet defeat to Grinnell College. The Kohawks showed well despite the defeat, picking up six top-three finishes in total. Rangelov was less than a few seconds shy of a record-shattering evening, posting the second fastest time in school history in both the 100 and 200 Breast as he secured the top spot in both events. The freshman bettered his previous fastest time by over two seconds from earlier this year, improving his time from the Loras dual just two weeks ago. Deacon also picked up a pair of wins during the evening, winning the 100 and 200 Fly while posting the eighth-fastest time in school history in the 100 Fly. Joshua Yi was the third Kohawk to pick up a pair of podium finishes during the dual, finishing second in the 1000 Free and third in the 500 Free.
