CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's swimming & diving team hosted its first home dual of the 2024-25 season last night against Grinnell College. The Pioneers edged the Kohawks on the final team scoreboard 192-76 but it still proved to be an evening full of success for the women in their home opener. Freshman
Devyn Nabarrete kept up her hot start as a Kohawk, securing a pair of victories in the 100 and 200 Breast while also posting a new top-10 mark at Coe. The Erie, Colorado native was first in the 100 with a time of 1:11.70, good for 10th in Coe's history. She followed with a 2:36.58 in the 200 Breast to secure her second top finish of the evening. The Kohawk women picked up an additional 11 podium positions throughout the night including a pair of relay teams in the 200 Medley and 200 Free relays.
Hollye Gutierrez, Devyn Nabarrete, Valerie Gutierrez and
Jordyn Boyer combined in the 200 Medley for a time of 1:57.61, finishing second while Gutierrez, Gutierrez, Boyer and
Natalie Pirozek teamed up in the 200 Free for a second-place finish in 1:45.28. Pirozek, Gutierrez, Gutierrez and Boyer secured multiple individual podium finishes while
Nessia Wagner took one.
