GRINNELL, Iowa – The Coe College women's track & field squad was in action for the first time in the 2024-25 indoor season on Friday evening, competing at the Grinnell College Opener. Freshman
Keeauna Scheufele carried her momentum from a strong cross country campaign into her first collegiate track event, claiming the top spot in the women's 1 Mile race with a time of 5:37.71.
Lily Mayo was right behind with a third-place finish, helping Coe earn two of their 14 top-five finishes.
Taiy Pruett (300 Dash),
Morgan Wallin (60 Hurdles) and
Araya Benson-Mitchell (High Jump) picked up second-place finishes while
Emily Andrade (300 Dash),
Trisan South (Weight Throw) and the 4x200 team of
Taiy Pruitt, Emily Andrade, Aurey Meeker and
Morgan Wallin finished third to complete the podium finishes.
