GRINNELL, Iowa - The Coe College women's track & field team was led by a pair of individual victories on Saturday at the Grinnell College Darren Young Classic as
Crystal Burke and
Sangai Dukuly secured first-place finishes for the Kohawks. Coe had seven top-ten finishers overall, placing eighth as a team while numerous Kohawks set new personal best and top-10 marks. Burke took home the title in the 800m with a time of 2:23.06, 10th best on Coe's indoor performance list. Dukuly claimed the top spot in the Triple Jump, posting a leap of 10.51m to edge second-place by just over .1m.
Tracy Allen earned Coe's final podium position at the meet, taking third place in the weight throw with a new personal best throw of 16.05m which is third all-time in Coe history. Her toss also moves her into the top 35 in DIII, ranking #32 in the indoor weight throw rankings. Additionally,
Toni Mitchell, Lily Mayo and
Morgana Goodlow earned top-10 finishes on the day while Dukuly brought Coe's total top-10 finishers to seven with an eighth-place mark in the 200m.
