LA CROSSE, Wisc. - Will Esmoil and the Coe College wrestling team wrapped up the 2024 NCAA DIII National Championships on Saturday morning, concluding the 2024 season on the final day of National tournament action. Esmoil, who secured his second-career all-American honor on Friday evening, finished sixth place in the 165-pound bracket. The West Liberty native fell in the semifinal round to TCNJ's Nicholas Sacco 4-2. Esmoil trailed for the majority of the match and went in for a late takedown that looked to have landed but a lengthy official review denied him of a dramatic win. The Kohawk senior then went on to suffer a pair of narrow defeats in the consolation semifinals and fifth-place match, falling 4-2 and 7-5 to finish sixth overall.
