Baseball drops series opener to #25 Buena Vista

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College baseball team dropped its first A-R-C contest on Friday, falling 11-6 to Buena Vista in a hit-filled matchup with the Beavers. Coe opened the scoring in the bottom of the second, getting a two-run homer from Jack Allison, his second of the year. Buena Vista took control in the middle portion of the game, scoring eight runs across the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Coe closed the gap to three in the seventh on a solo homer from Mitchell Eckardt but three eighth-inning runs for the Beavers sealed the deal.
