CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's track and field team was led by
Sangai Dukuly and
Crystal Burke's top-eight performances over the weekend at Mount Mercy's Distance Carnival and Open. Dukuly picked up a top-eight finish in the 400 with a new personal best time of 1:02.25 and later hit the 11-meter mark for the first time this season in the triple jump, placing third with a leap of 11.05m. Burke's strong senior year continued with top-eight finishes in the 800 and 1500 elite races, finishing eighth and sixth respectively. Her time of 4:56.16 in the 1500 is a personal best, beating her previous mark by over two seconds.
Lilly Mayo also joined the record-making performances, moving into fourth all-time at Coe in the steeplechase with a tie of 12:34.73.
Fiona Mahler and
Tracy Allen recorded the final top-eight finishes for the Kohawks, taking seventh in the 1500m open and sixth in the hammer.
