ST. PETER, Minn. – Addison Leasure, Alli Hagness, Sophia Fain and Alice Tysoe represented the Coe College Women's Tennis team at the ITA Midwest Regional Championship on Friday and Saturday. The tournament, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College, featured student-athletes from 29 of the top teams in the region. Fain turned in the team's top effort in the singles competition, winning her opening match in comeback fashion 1-6, 6-2, 10-7 over Maya Brakhage of Gustavus. Leasure, Fain and Tysoe all lost their opening round match in singles however Tysoe forced a tiebreaking set, suffering a 1-6, 6-2, 6-10 defeat to Dorothy Deans of Loras. Fain and Tysoe paired together in doubles for the team's lone victory in the regional doubles championship, defeating a duo from Loras 8-7 in the opening round.
