CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's tennis team picked up its third straight win on Saturday morning, celebrating 2024 Homecoming with a 7-0 shutout victory over Buena Vista at the Clark Racquet Center. The Kohawks eased past the Beavers in doubles competition, dropping just three games in total as the pairings of
Alli Hagness / Addison Leasure, Jaden Fuqua / Coseette Gaines and
Giana Akins / Mikayla Baxter dominated en route to three wins. The Kohawks continued to cruise in singles, winning all six matches in straight sets.
Carlie Miller, Giana Akins and
Makayla Baxter all picked up 6-0, 6-0 victories in the four-six spots, putting the exclamation mark on a dominant Coe decision.
