LINCOLN, Neb. – The Coe College women's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak in dominant fashion Saturday afternoon, defeating the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves 97-43 in a conference road matchup. Coe scored 11 of the game's first 13 points and never looked back, shooting a season-best 57.8 percent from the floor while limiting NWU to 30.6 percent shooting. Six players hit double-digits, providing a balanced scoring attack for the Kohawks who hit 15-of-31 long-distance tries.
Taylor Brunson scored a team-high 23 points, eclipsing the 20-point mark for the eighth time this season.

- The Prairie Wolves opened the scoring with a layup to go up 2-0 but Coe responded with 11 unanswered points. The Kohawks knocked down three early triples, getting a pair from Wisner and one from Caydee Kirkham to take the momentum. Coe's hot start stretched for the final five minutes of the first period, outscoring the hosts 20-11 in the span. Brunson poured in nine points while Helmrichs added eight, giving Coe a 31-13 lead after the opening quarter. Coe and NWU battled back-and-forth in the first half of the second quarter but the visitors put the game out of reach before the end of the half. The Kohawks scored 12 unanswered points in the final 4:20 seconds of the period, pushing the lead to 52-20 at the break. Coe's run extended into the third quarter, increasing the gap to 43 points midway through the quarter at 65-22.
