Double-double performances from Kirkham & Knight lead Women’s Basketball to easy win over Principia in final non-conference matchup

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Coe College women's basketball team capped off its 2025 campaign and non-conference slate Tuesday evening with a dominant victory, defeating the Principia College Panthers 81-54 at Kohawk Arena. It was dominance from Coe early on, shaking off a slow start to roar back and take a commanding lead before the end of the first quarter. The Kohawks put their foot to the gas in the second quarter with a dominant 25-12 showing, with Caydee Kirkham and Kelly Knight combining for 15 of the Kohawk points. Coe sealed the victory with another dominant effort in the third, outscoring the Panthers 22-11 as Audrie Helmrichs paced the scoring with eight points in the frame. Kirkham and Knight each posted double-doubles in the win, finishing with 20 points and 13 assists and 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Kirkham's 13 assists are the second-most in school history and the most since she recorded nine in December of 2023. Helmrichs was just shy of a third double-double for Coe, scoring 16 points while pulling down eight boards.
