MONMOUTH, Ill. – Coe College men's thrower Chris Baker delivered another huge PR and school record Saturday afternoon at Monmouth's Roger Haynes Invitational, finishing third in the field with a new record mark of 18.55m. Baker smashed his record that was set previously this season and is now 11th in DIII with his new school record mark. The Kohawks had 12 other point-scoring finishes from individuals and two more from relay squads to round out the solid day. Philip Marerro had a pair of point-scoring efforts in the 1 Mile and 3000m run, placing 8th and 5th respectively. Jared Thoma claimed the team's highest individual finish, placing second in the 5000m with a season-best time of 16:07.06. Talon Sargent and Andrew Livaudais were the final top-three finishers for the Kohawks, placing third in the 400m and 800m.
