CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's tennis team opened its spring season with a 7-0 victory over Saint Ambrose Wednesday afternoon at Clark Racquet Center. The Kohawks got off to a good start in doubles, claiming two of three matches to go up 1-0 on the scoreboard.

Alli Hagness picked up a narrow 7-6 victory at number one and were joined by
Sophia Fain / Alice Tysoe who secured a 6-1 decision at number two. Coe went on to complete the sweep in singles competition in style, winning all six matches in straight sets. Fain, Leasure, Hagness and Tysoe each picked up their second victories of the match while
Maddie Schultz and
Jaden Fuqua stepped into the singles lineup and helped secure the sweep.
