JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Coe College women's track and field team was in action for the first time in the 2025 spring, competing at Illinois College's True Blue Open Friday evening. The Kohawks were led by freshman
Taiy Pruett who posted a second-place finish in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:10.56. She was one of six Kohawks to secure point-scoring finishes on the day, leading a solid effort from the entire squad.
Emily Andrade and
Josie Gehrke went fifth and sixth in the 200m, posting times of 28.06 and 28.12.
Lily Mayo was the only Kohawk to place inside the top eight in two separate events, placing sixth in the 800m and seventh in the 1500m.
Maggie Preuss rounded out the point-scoring placements for Coe in the 800m, placing eighth with a mark of 2:39.02.
