CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe College is proud to celebrate the resounding success of its inaugural Kohawk Athletic Day of Giving, a first-of-its-kind fundraising event dedicated entirely to supporting Coe's athletic teams and programs.
 
Held prior to the start of this fall semester on August 14th, the campaign generated over $250,000 through more than 600 individual gifts, rallying alumni, parents, fans and friends around a shared commitment to Kohawk excellence. Every team and athletic support program benefited, marking a powerful start to what promises to be a lasting tradition.
 
This milestone directly supports Coe's student-athletes, enriching their development in competition, in the classroom and as leaders beyond campus. From upgraded equipment and travel opportunities to team-building initiatives and program development, the impact of this campaign will be felt across all 29 varsity sports.
 
"Our first-ever Athletic Day of Giving was an incredible success," said Director of Athletics & Recreation Steve Cook. "It truly highlights the strength of the Kohawk community. The outpouring of generosity we witnessed is a testament to the unwavering support our alumni, families, and friends have for our student-athletes and programs. These contributions will not only enhance our programs but also create lasting opportunities for every athlete at Coe College. Together, we are building a brighter future for our Kohawks, and I cannot thank everyone enough for their support."
 
The success of this campaign reflects the deep-rooted support and enthusiasm of the Kohawk community and underscores Coe's position as a perennial contender atop the American Rivers Conference, with exciting opportunities ahead for every student-athlete on campus.
