CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Coe College men's basketball team picked up its second straight win Wednesday evening at Kohawk Arena, defeating the visiting Buena Vista University Beavers 75-66. Ryan Dolphin spearheaded a 13-0 run to start the second half, scoring eight points including a pair of 3s along the way. Zach Strauss cashed in three more triples later in the period, leading a 9-5 run by himself to help extend Coe's advantage to 62-45. Buena Vista fought back to close the gap to 12 with 3:04 to play but Bryte and Coe handled business over the final three minutes, converting 3-of-4 at the foul line to see out the victory. Bryte led all scorers with 20 points and was closely followed by Strauss who tied a career-high with 18 points and a career-best six triples. Dolphin (13) and Cooper Nailor (11) closed out the double-digit scorers for Coe while the latter finished with nine assists and six rebounds.
