CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's wrestling team is ready to compete in the first match of a historic season, with five wrestlers stepping onto the mat this Sunday in Indianola, Iowa, at the Luther Hill Invitational. Kaity Raue (131), Lizzy Roberts (145), Aubrey Loehr (145), Mya Sackrey (160), and Ella Brown (207) will represent the Crimson and Gold at their respective weight classes.

"We're excited to finally get on the mat and showcase what we've been working so hard for," said head coach Kaleb Reeves. "We are ready to begin building the tradition for years to come, and they are going out there, putting their heads down, and putting in the work."

Raue at 131 is a freshman hailing from North Liberty, Iowa, and is a Liberty High School graduate. Raue notched over 100 wins in her high school career, finishing her senior season as a state qualifier and a 2026 Junior Nationals qualifier.  At 145, Roberts and Loehr hold an impressive reputation as first-years. Roberts comes from Waterloo, Iowa, and was a multi-year starter for Waterloo West. Keeping the Midwest climate, Loehr is from Omaha, Nebraska, and came to Coe as a 2-time state qualifier. Loehr placed 5th at Nebraska state in 2025, making her the first girl from her school to do so. Sophomore Sackrey holds it down at 160. While also playing softball, Sackrey finds success on the mat as well. From Brookfield, Missouri, she holds 117 career wins and was a 2025 Missouri state champion. Along with her senior year first-place finish, Sackrey also took 3rd in 2024 and 4th in 2023. At 207, Ella Brown holds a dominant spot. Brown is a Cedar Rapids native and a sophomore transferring from Buena Vista University. Brown holds over 200 career victories and earned a runner-up finish at the ARC Conference Championship in 2026. Brown was named to the ARC All-Conference team in 2026 after tying for the program's highest overall individual finish. The Cedar Rapids native is also a dual-athlete, competing in softball as well.

Competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. (CT) in the Blake Fieldhouse on Sunday. Live results will be available on Instagram @coewomenswrestling.
