ST. PETER, Minn. – The Coe College men's tennis team wrapped up a strong fall competition season over the weekend at Gustavus College, competing in the ITA Midwest Regional Championships and the Midwest Open. Coe showed well in both singles and doubles competition in the Regional Championships, going 6-5 in singles and 7-3 in doubles. Freshman Murilo Rejaili led the efforts in the top singles division, reaching the round of 16 with three wins including victories over a 17 and a nine seed to reach to final 16. Schulte, Rohlman and Tiemann also picked up wins in the singles competition with Tiemann and Schulte reaching the round of 32. A nine-seed, the pairing took down teams from Ripon, Macalester and Gustavus, knocking out a five seed from the host school to reach the round of eight. Tiemann and Schulte then toppled the third overall seed from Carthage 8-5 and eventually fell to the Regional Champion team from UW-Whitewater.
