DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Coe College wrestling team wrapped up action at the 2026 NCAA DIII Region VI Championships Saturday, rounding out with a third-place finish and five national qualifiers for next month's national tournament.
Bo Koedam made headlines at 165 pounds as the freshman continued his stellar campaign with a pair of victories in the semifinal and championship match to claim the regional title as well as his place in the national tournament. Koedam took down Brian Petry of Cornell 8-1 in the semifinal before leading 6-0 against top-ranked and unbeaten Clayton McDonough of Luther who was forced to medically retire.
Brayden Parke, Dresden Grimm and
Jean Ngoma all advanced into the title matches of their respective weights before suffering defeats in the championship as the trio finished runner-up at 125, 141 and 197 for the Kohawks.
Wyatt Smith rounded out the national qualifiers for Coe with a third-place effort at 285, bouncing back from a semifinal defeat to win back-to-back matches including a 4-1 decision in the third-place bout.
