CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College men's tennis team picked up a pair of A-R-C victories on the road on Sunday, defeating Loras and Dubuque 6-1. The Kohawks opened Sunday's action with a sweep of the Duhawks in doubles, getting wins from
Anthony Schulte / Daniel Rohlman, Ivan Burt-Smith / Joshua Tiemann, and
Grant Idoux / Bryton Short to go up 1-0. Coe eased over the finish line in singles, getting straight-set wins from Schulte,
Luke Doig, and Burt-Smith, while Short and Idoux claimed tiebreaking wins for 6-1. The Kohawks started the second match with another sweep in doubles with Burt-Smith / Tiemann, Schulte /
Reed Kruger, and
Nathaniel Miller / Idoux claimed the early team point. Schulte, Rohlman, Doig and
Kohen Juelfs won their singles matches in straight sets before Miller finished off the victory with a three-set win at number six.
