ATLANTA, Ga. - The Coe College women's basketball team was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for academic excellence on Tuesday for the third straight season. The WBCA named the Kohawk women's program to the Special Mention list as the team boasted a 3.400 GPA under head coach Kayla Waskow. 
 
All college women's basketball teams whose head coaches are WBCA members are eligible for this award. Teams must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The top 25 institutions at each collegiate level will be announced by press release in mid-summer. Team grade point averages are determined by the total number of quality points divided by the total number of hours attempted by all players on the team. Starting in 2022, the WBCA will additionally recognize all other teams having a 3.0 or better GPA that are nominated.
