Women's Tennis drops season opener at Grinnell

GRINNELL, Iowa – The Coe College women's tennis team opened its season with a tough battle against regional powerhouse Grinnell College Saturday, falling 7-0 to the Pioneers. Despite the scoreline the Kohawks pushed the hosts in both doubles and singles competitions. Top doubles pairing Aisha Gurung and Addison Leasure were closest to victory at number one, suffering a 6-4 defeat as the Pioneers took an early 1-0 lead. Grinnell proceeded to win all six matches in straight sets with Gurung again showing well at number three with a 6-4, 6-4 defeat.
