As a was four-year starter for the Kohawks, Ethan Ball was an All-American at 174 pounds in 2014, finishing third in the NCAA National Championships. Ball was a three-time NCAA qualifier and an Iowa Conference Champion. In four years at Coe, Ball accumulated a career record of 114-36, which ranks sixth all-time at Coe.

Ball hails from Aledo, Illinois where he was a three-time Illinois State placer finishing fourth, third and second. With 141 wins, Ball is tied for first in all-time wins at Mercer County High School.
Ball also competed actively in freestyle where he was a three-time Illinois State champion and was a member of the Illinois National Freestyle dual teams for two years. As a FILA Junior All-American in 2012, Ball qualified for the Junior World Team Trials at 74kg. In senior-level competition, Ball finished as Runner-up at the Northern Plains Regional Qualifier in 2013.

Ball works mainly with 157-197 pound athletes and has helped guide four All-Americans and one NCAA champion.
