PELLA, Iowa - The Coe College women's volleyball team won its second-straight conference match 3-1 over Central on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Kohawks to 12-12 overall and 3-1 in the conference. It is just the second time this season that the Kohawks have won on the road.
The opening set between the Kohawks and Dutch was a tight one with Coe edging out the 26-24 win. Coe made it 2-0 with a convincing 25-12 win in set number two which saw the Kohawks total just three attacking errors on 28 attacks. Despite Central winning set three 25-21, Coe bounced back with a 25-14 victory to clinch the match.
The Kohawks were led by
Madi Parson (16 kills)
Kate Tidman (15 kills) and
Morgan Kluesner (12 kills) while
Elli Teeple tallied 46 assists and three service aces. Kluesner added 13 digs to lead the Coe defense and record her 10th double-double of the season.
Next Up: The Kohawks will hit the road at 7:30 on Wednesday for a matchup with Wartburg who is undefeated and in first place in the conference.
