STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Coe College women's soccer team scored a season-high seven goals en route to its victory over Buena Vista on Saturday evening. The Kohawks improve 7-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the A-R-C- with just three regular season games remaining. 
 
The Kohawks opened the scoring in just the second minute of the match as Brynne Sandfort scored off an assist from Sydney Schroder. Schroder added to the early lead in the ninth minute, scoring off an assist from Morgan Petsche. Despite peppering the Buena Vista keeper with shots prior to the halftime whistle, the Kohawks were unable to increase their lead.
 
Coe began taking advantage of those chances in the second half, scoring three goals in the first seven minutes of the period. Amanda Hiebert tallied goals in the 49th, 51st and 52nd minute to complete the hattrick and put Coe ahead 5-0 with nearly 40 minutes to play. Coe refused to let up, getting two additional goals in the 58th and 61st. Schroder made it two goals on the night while Hiebert capped off her sensational evening with a fourth.
 
The Kohawks continued to control the game through the final 30 minutes as they added five more shot attempts to finish with 28 on the night. The Kohawk defense did their job in the offensive outburst allowing just one shot by the Beavers late in the 7-0 shutout victory.  
 
Next up: Coe travels to Waverly on Wednesday evening for a matchup with Wartburg at 5 p.m.
