Wrestling Begins the Season With a Strong Performance at Luther Open

DECORAH, Iowa — The Coe College wrestling team began the 2019-20 campaign on Saturday at the Luther Open. Returning All-American Taylor Mehmen took first at 197 in the elite bracket while fellow returning All-American Josh Edel took second (Elite/184), falling to Cash Wilcke of Division I powerhouse Iowa. Overall, the Kohawks had 18 wrestlers finish in the top eight including four who took home the top spot in their weight and bracket.
