Dubuque, Iowa - The Kohawks hit the road to take on Loras College after a full week at home. Coe was defeated in straight sets in the road conference game. The loss was Coe's first in conference play as they fall to 8-9 overall, 1-1 in the conference. 

Coe opened confenence play at home last Wednesday and followed that up with a four game home invite this past weekend. After five straight in Kohawk Arena the Kohawks were back on the road as they traveled to Dubuque to take on Loras College. The Kohawks started slow and fell in straight sets 25-14, 25-15 and 26-24. 

In the first set an 11-3 run early put the Kohawks in a hole they couldn't get out of. The second set saw a Duhawk run hurt the Kohawks, again. In set two the run came late as the Duhawks closed the set with a 14-4 run to put Coe down two sets to none. The Kohawks never quit battling as they took the Duhawks to extra points in the final set. With things tied at 24 Loras got two straight points to close out the set and game. 

Kate Tidman lead the offense with 11 kills while Elli Teeple had 25 assists. Defensively, Coe was lead by libero Majda Suljic with 16 digs while Teeple added 10 digs to record a double-double. 

Tonight's game was the first of nine straight road games. The Kohawks continue their travel Friday, September 27th as they head to Rock Island, Ill. for the Viking Classic. Coe will play two games at the classic as they take on host Augustana at 5 p.m. and Saint Mary's University at 7 p.m. The Kohawks return home on October 18th for the Kohawk Invite.
