LINCOLN, Neb. – The #5 Coe College wrestling team went 3-1 in the American Rivers Conference Duals hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday. The Kohawks took down ranked opponent #17 Luther as well as Nebraska Wesleyan and Simpson while falling to #3 Loras for their only loss on the day. Coe moves to 12-2 in duals this year and 5-1 in the A-R-C with one match remaining.
After falling 29-5 to #3 Loras College, the Kohawks responded with a 33-10 victory over #17 Luther. The win featured a pin from
Josh Edel and major decision victories from
Alex Friddle, Gabe Fiser, Tristin Westphal and
Kaleb Reeves. The Kohawks continued to dominate, winning their final two matches 34-12 and 55-0 over Nebraska Wesleyan and Simpson. Coe picked up eight pins over the two matches while tallying four tech fall victories.
